In Commander/Officer Applications
Steam Name: Tyler Ingame Name: CT-6412 Tyler Age: 18 Steam Profile Link: Time in GMod: 5'536.3 Hours Time In Server: 1d 9hr (Would be approximately 1w before time reset) Steam ID: 76561198236130730 / STEAM_0:0:137932501 Battalion/Regiment applying for: 501st Legion Experience with StarwarsRP: I have been playing SWRP since I started playing Garry's Mod, which at this point has now been around 4 - 5 Years. During these years of SWRP I have been in a fair amount of Command Positions on other servers as well as this server having previously served as the Shock Trooper Commander (before my PC decided to give up on me). Knowledge on your battalion: The 501st Legion was a Legion formed as part of the Galactic Army of the Republic, and later was nicknamed Vader's First upon the formation of the Galactic Empire. In the Clone Wars the Legion was led by Jedi General Anakin Skywalker, Clone Captain 7567 Rex and later also by Jedi Commander Ahsoka Tano. Within the 501st Legion also stood Torrent Company which was had troopers such as Echo, Fives, Dogma, Jesse and Kix as well as Captain Rex himself. Even though the 501st were a slightly smaller battalion than others, they still specialised in Frontline Infantry and Support Roles. Do you understand the lore of the battalion: Yes I do understand the lore behind the 501st Legion. Why do you think you should get this position?: I believe that I should get this position because I want to be able to be given the chance of reviving the 501st, as from what I have seen since my return is that it has been slightly inactive. I will look to host trainings which will both have value in increasing the skills of the battalions troopers, as well as also making it so that they are able to enjoy their time within the battalion. I will look to promote activity within the Legion by providing a sense of progression for troopers through my activity during events, trainings, tryouts. I will also look at hosting battalion meetings to be able to gain ideas of what the troopers want to see in the battalion and the regiment. Are you active on Prestige Alliance?: I believe I am active, and will continue to increase my current activity. At the moment I can be on the server for approximately 3 - 5 hours the days that I am online. Are you aware if you are inactive for 7 days with no further notice you will be demoted from your position?: Yes. Are you aware that you cannot apply if you have issues joining the server?: Yes, I have no issues joining the server. Do you have a microphone?: Yes How available are you?: At the moment, I am available almost every day. Depending on the day will depend on the time of my availability. What makes you a good commander?: I am a motivated individual who wants to be challenged, and will face everything that comes towards me. During the time I had served as Shock Commander I was able to show that I was dedicated and active on the server and towards the regiment by conducting fun and enjoyable trainings, as well as being motivated to providing a good and enjoyable experience for those who had been serving in the regiment whilst also making sure a good level of discipline was being held. What does your battalion do? (MIN. 3 Sentences): As stated before, the 501st Legion is one of the main attack battalions in the Galactic Army of the Republic specialising in Frontline Infantry, using strategies to their advantage over the CIS. They are also able to hold a Support Role, being able to provide cover to other units with their heavy blasters such as the Z6 Rotary Blaster in situations such as withdrawing / falling back and also providing cover fire in general. Additionally, the battalion also have additional roles to provide different types of support such as Medic who are able to provide medical assistance in the field, Pilots who are able to provide transport and CAS and also Advance Recon Commandos of whom are elite forces who specialise in different scenarios. What is the Golden Rule?: Never harm another brother, nor should you have another member of the GAR. What do you do if you are retreating from direct fire and a trooper is left behind?: A man should never be left behind on a battlefield. I would order a few of the troopers that I have with me to begin covering fire whilst myself and one other trooper and a medic push up towards the trooper who has been left behind. Once said trooper has had a quick check by the medic, I would then signal for the other troopers to begin covering fire again so that myself, the now two troopers and the medic are able to withdraw from said situation back to the rest of the unit. From here we would then continue on with any further orders we have received, or will continue on with the mission that we have been sent on. What is your course of action when you are injured in combat? Do you fight those clankers? Or Do you fall back to the medics?: In my opinion it is dependent on how many troopers that I have with me. If I have an overwhelming amount of troopers with me then it would be the best course of action to fall back to a Medic and gain medical treatment before heading back to the field. However, if there is a limited amount of troopers with me then I would re-assess the position I am in and find better and more suitable cover which will provide better protection until reinforcements or a field medic can arrive. At this point I would continue to fight off the clankers.
